Ed is a transformational leader and sales professional with 25 years of experience in the mattress and furniture industry. His expertise lies in helping retailers in the Great Lakes Region grow their businesses through increased traffic, strategic brand selection, and training programs that develop confident, creative, and successful sales teams.

Throughout his career, Ed has held several high-profile positions, including Vice President of Sales - Retail at Brown Jordan and Director of Sales - West at Resident. In these roles, he demonstrated his ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, cultivate key partnerships, and drive profitable growth. His achievements include successfully leading teams of regional account managers, handling national accounts, and utilizing data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities.

Ed's professional journey also includes significant tenures at Reverie as a National Account Manager and at Tempur-Pedic as a Business Development Manager. During his time at Tempur-Pedic, he achieved remarkable results, growing his sales territory by 146% and driving 80% of the company's sales across Michigan. Ed's diverse experience, coupled with his entrepreneurial spirit—evidenced by his decade-long ownership of an online furniture business—has shaped him into a versatile and accomplished sales strategist with a proven track record of securing millions in revenues for organizations.

In addition to his professional achievements, Ed is an author, having written a book titled “Lasting Encouragement.”

Tony graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN with a major in  Sociology and minor in Urban Studies.   

He started his career in the bedding industry in 1998 at Sealy Mattress in St. Paul, MN as an operations manager.  In 2001 was promoted to a account manager covering top 100 retailers in the Midwest (Slumberland, Art Van Furniture, Furniture Mart USA, etc.)

Tony left the bedding industry between 2006 to 2008 and started a career in corrugated packaging sales where he specialize in retail packaging.  His focus was on marketing and private label packaging in MI and OH.  His clients included major automotive teri one suppliers and consumer packaging customers throughout MI and OH.  Tony assisted many of his manufacturers with increasing their sales by collaborating on unique packaging concepts and designs that consumers preferred.

Tony returned to the bedding industry in 2008 to help launch I Love My Pillow into a national brand selling to many of the top 100 furniture retailers across the country and major big box retailers such as Bed Bath and Beyond, Sam’s Club, Costco, TJ Max Corp, and Menards.

Over the last few years, Tony has worked with bedding and furniture manufacturers to developing products for key retailers, marketing campaigns that help drive traffic, and training programs to engage the sales people that help increase profits and commissions.

Elaine previously served as Director of Learning and Development for Resident brands and now works closely with Avocado Mattress Brands.

Danni Askew

Danni creates visually-engaging training content that is outcome-driven and designed to increase sales. After beginning her career as a Trainer in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Danni pivoted into the Furniture and Mattress Industry as a Trainer and Content Creator for HOM Furniture, Steinhafels, Mattress by Appointment, and Avocado brands. Danni’s undergraduate degree specialized in leadership development, and she is currently an MBA candidate.
